Broughton Rose Green

Ashmore FabricBP10949.3

Broughton Rose Green combines a softly ivory linen ground with sage foliage, muted rose and peach flowers, taupe branches and perched birds. The restrained palette gives the detailed chinoiserie scene a cool, gently faded character.

About this fabric

The visible linen texture adds a natural, lightly slubbed ground beneath climbing branches, layered leaves, delicate blossoms and pale long-tailed birds. Its 100% linen composition and 134 cm (52.64") width make the design suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The pattern has an 82 cm (32.21") vertical repeat and a 134 cm (52.64") horizontal repeat, so the large-scale arrangement should be planned carefully across upholstered panels. Care instructions are Do Not Wash, must be dry cleaned professionally, Do Not Bleach and Do Not Iron.

How to use it

Use the sage-and-rose colourway on a statement chair or relaxed Roman blind against warm ivory, pale timber and aged brass. Its softly weathered tones also suit a bedroom bedspread where the birds and branching foliage can be fully appreciated.

A softly coloured chinoiserie linen for relaxed curtains, upholstered pieces and bedspreads.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Broughton Rose Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
