About this fabric

This 100% linen fabric has a detailed botanical composition of birds, twisting branches, layered foliage and large peony-like blooms, with the restrained palette giving the design an antique, collected feel. The warm cream background allows the muted coral-pink flowers and sage leaves to sit alongside dusty blue and brown-grey accents without becoming too bright. At 134 cm wide, the pattern has an 82 cm vertical repeat and a 44.5 cm horizontal repeat, so the larger branches and blooms will make a clear statement across upholstery or full curtain drops. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, with a 20,000 Martindale rub test; professional dry cleaning is required.

How to use it

Use Eltham Antique to bring warmth and pattern to a pale, classic room, pairing its cream ground with aged timber, soft sage paint or muted rose accents. Its substantial botanical repeat is especially effective on a statement chair, relaxed headboard or long lined curtains.

A softly aged chinoiserie botanical for elegant curtains, upholstery and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
