Brantwood Velvet Red/Blue combines saturated red floral heads with a deep blue ground and dense olive-gold scrolling foliage. The close-set pattern has a richly layered, tapestry-like appearance, with warm red and ochre details set against cooler blue.

About this fabric

This GP & J Baker velvet is made from 83% cotton and 17% polyester and measures 134 cm wide. Large red flowers, blue fan-like leaves and curling olive-gold foliage create a strongly ornamental repeat, measuring 42 cm vertically and 67 cm horizontally. The red reads warm and dramatic against the cooler blue, while the muted foliage tones give the colourway depth rather than a purely bright finish. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; after-care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the deep red and blue colourway on a statement chair, ottoman or upholstered headboard, then pick up the olive-gold foliage in plain cushions or painted woodwork. Its substantial velvet character also suits full curtains where the repeating floral design can be shown at scale.
