Eltham Blue has a softly weathered cream ground, overlaid with cool blue birds, clustered flowers and leafy branches. The blue reads pale and powdery in the open areas, with deeper blue accents adding definition without making the colourway feel saturated.

About this fabric

This 100% linen design depicts perched birds, twisting branches, blue floral heads and fine botanical sprays in blue, sage green, taupe and muted grey across the cream ground. Its 82 cm vertical repeat and 44.5 cm horizontal repeat give the pattern a considered, medium-scale rhythm, with larger flower clusters balanced by delicate foliage. At 134 cm wide and rated to 20,000 Martindale rubs, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The cool, softened palette suits rooms where a traditional illustrated pattern is wanted without a strong or vivid colour statement.

How to use it

Use Eltham Blue on relaxed upholstery or full-length curtains alongside warm ivory, pale sage and natural timber. Its cream base and subdued powder-blue detail also make it well suited to a layered bedroom scheme with blue-grey accents.
