Ashmore FabricBP10949.1

Broughton Rose Blue places long-tailed birds, flowering branches and curling leaves across a pale ivory ground. Its powder-blue and blue-grey drawing is softened by muted sage foliage and gentle blush-taupe details.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this 134 cm-wide fabric shows a cool, faded palette of powder blue, slate blue, sage and warm ivory, with subtle blush-taupe flower centres. Large blossoms and branching stems surround perched birds, creating a detailed chinoiserie-like scene across the surface. The design has an 82 cm vertical pattern repeat and a 134 cm horizontal repeat, giving the birds and branches a generous scale. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, allowing the softly layered pattern to be used across both furniture and window treatments.

How to use it

Pair this cool blue-grey colourway with warm ivory walls, pale timber and quiet neutrals to let the illustrated branches retain their softness. On upholstery or a bedspread, its muted blue ground brings pattern without the sharper contrast of a more saturated blue.

A cool, softly faded blue-and-ivory scene for traditional upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
