Birds & Cherries Cotton Soft Blue pairs a pale, cool blue ground with an airy repeat of olive-grey foliage, coral cherries and small pink birds. The softly faded palette gives the design a light, quietly vintage character.

About this fabric

The delicate botanical pattern is arranged in repeating vertical panels, with curling stems, rounded leaves, hanging cherry clusters and perched birds visible across the cloth. Its soft blue background keeps the overall effect cool and gentle, while coral-red cherries add small points of warmth against the muted olive-grey foliage. Made from 100% cotton and measuring 138 cm wide, the fabric has a 34 cm vertical pattern repeat and a 34.5 cm horizontal repeat. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, with a 20,000 Martindale rub test; professional dry cleaning is required.

How to use it

Use this soft blue colourway for relaxed curtains in a pale room, or upholster a reading chair where the coral cherries and olive leaves can be appreciated at close range. It also brings a gentle, illustrated quality to a bedspread without making the scheme feel heavily coloured.
