Bibury Blue

House Small Prints FabricBP10999.5

Bibury Blue combines a cool, muted blue-grey ground with slim vertical bands of scrolling foliage. The pale ground keeps the repeated pattern light, while the darker blue-grey detail gives each stripe definition.

About this fabric

The design is formed from closely repeated vertical stripes, each containing small curling leaves and floral scrolls in blue-grey against a soft pale background. At 140 cm (55") wide, this 82% viscose and 18% linen fabric is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Its 15 cm (5.89") vertical repeat and 35 cm (13.75") horizontal repeat allow the narrow bands to continue rhythmically across a larger piece. Care requires professional dry cleaning; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use Bibury Blue at a window where its cool blue-grey stripes can read as a calm architectural rhythm, or on a chair, headboard or bedspread to introduce pattern without a strong saturated colour. Pair it with chalky whites, pale timber and other restrained blue-grey accents.

A quietly decorative blue-grey stripe for curtains, upholstered seating, bedspreads and relaxed tailored interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
