About this fabric

Made from 100% cotton and 137 cm wide, this printed fabric shows an abundant arrangement of sweeping leaves, clustered blooms and perched birds in varied blue tones. The pale blue ground keeps the large-scale design light, while deeper blue foliage adds movement and depth beside the cream and grey flowers. Its vertical pattern repeat is 72 cm and its horizontal repeat is 45.6 cm, so the composition has a noticeable, generous scale. With a 20,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; professional dry cleaning is required.

How to use it

Use the soft, cool blue as the room’s main colour on curtains or a bedspread, then echo the grey flower detailing in upholstery or painted furniture. The pale ground works especially well where you want a richly patterned fabric without a dark or heavy effect.

A cool, softly illustrated botanical for curtains, upholstery and bedspreads, with enough visual detail to anchor a room.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Trumpet Flowers Cotton Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
