Poppy Sprig Denim combines a cool, muted denim-blue ground with closely spaced floral sprigs in coral, ochre, pale blue and brown. The subtle crosshatched surface gives the colourway a softly weathered depth rather than a flat, even finish.

About this fabric

The small repeated sprigs are arranged in neat vertical rows, with stylised stems and flower heads picked out in warm rust-coral, ochre and muted blue against the denim ground. A fine woven texture is visible across the surface, adding gentle variation to the cool blue background as it catches the light. Made from 82% viscose and 18% linen, the fabric is 135 cm (53.04") wide and has a 15 cm (5.89") vertical repeat with a 27 cm (10.61") horizontal repeat. Its listed uses include curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use this cool denim colourway to bring patterned softness to a pale, chalky or warm-neutral room, where the coral and ochre flowers can act as small touches of warmth. The compact repeat works neatly on an upholstered chair, headboard or relaxed curtain without overwhelming the surrounding scheme.
