Birds & Cherries Cotton Indigo brings an inky blue ground to a detailed botanical scene of pale branching stems, green foliage, red cherries and small birds. The cool, deep colour gives the pattern a particularly moody and graphic presence.

About this fabric

Printed on 100% cotton at 138 cm wide, this fabric shows a repeating arrangement of curling branches, leafy shoots, paired birds and vivid red cherry clusters. The indigo ground is deep and cool, allowing the muted greens, pale cream foliage and coral-red fruit to stand out clearly without losing the design’s woodland character. A 34 cm vertical repeat and 34.5 cm horizontal repeat should be considered when cutting curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery or bedspreads. The 20,000 Martindale rub test supports upholstery use; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the deep indigo as an anchor for a reading chair, headboard or relaxed curtain scheme, then pick out the fabric’s leaf green and cherry red in plain cushions or painted joinery. Its cool, shadowy ground works especially well with warm timber and aged brass.
