Poppy Sprig Ochre

About this fabric

The fine repeating motif combines tiny stylised flowers, leaves and seed-like details in a compact arrangement, with the ochre background remaining the dominant impression. Its woven surface has a subtle, gently irregular texture that prevents the gold-toned ground from appearing flat. Made from 82% viscose and 18% linen, the fabric is 135 cm (53.04") wide and has a 15 cm (5.89") vertical repeat with a 27 cm (10.61") horizontal repeat. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; after care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the warm ochre ground to bring depth to a neutral sitting room, where the small red, olive and blue-grey flowers can be picked up in plain cushions or painted joinery. Its compact repeat is also well suited to relaxed upholstered pieces, curtains and bedspreads where an all-over pattern is wanted without a large visual scale.

A warm ochre small-print fabric with muted floral colour accents, suitable for coordinated curtains, upholstery and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
