Royal Maze Ochre

Royal Court FabricBP11095.4

Royal Maze Ochre combines a pale, warm ochre ground with an interlocking maze pattern and repeated tree-filled medallions. Muted sage, blush and soft terracotta details give the design a gentle, sun-washed quality.

About this fabric

The geometric ground is overlaid with alternating oval and diamond-shaped medallions, each containing a delicate stylised tree motif. Its 82% viscose and 18% linen composition gives this 137 cm-wide fabric a natural textile presence, while the ochre base keeps the overall effect light rather than heavily saturated. The vertical pattern repeat is 30 cm and the horizontal repeat is 34.25 cm, allowing the medallions to form a regular, clearly ordered layout. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care instructions specify professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the warm ochre ground to add soft golden depth to a neutral room, then pick up the muted sage and blush tree details in cushions, painted furniture or small accessories. The ordered maze pattern works particularly well on curtains or a tailored occasional chair where the repeat can be appreciated.

A warm ochre ground, maze geometry and softly coloured tree medallions bring a refined, decorative character to curtains, upholstery and bedspreads.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Royal Maze Ochre without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
