Royal Court Old Blue presents a delicate scrolling damask in a pale, cool blue with ivory detailing. The low-contrast colouring gives the ornate motif a softly faded, airy appearance rather than a strong graphic effect.

About this fabric

This fabric combines an 82% viscose and 18% linen composition with a 137 cm width, making it suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The visible design is a repeating damask of curling foliage and small flourishes, picked out in ivory against a powder-blue ground. Its 20 cm vertical pattern repeat and 34.25 cm horizontal repeat give the motif a measured, evenly distributed rhythm. Care instructions specify professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the cool old-blue tone to soften a traditionally styled bedroom, reading room or sitting room. Its pale ground works particularly well with chalky whites, warm ivory, light timber and restrained antique finishes.
