Queen's Damask Green

Royal Court FabricBP11101.1

Queen's Damask Green presents an intricate traditional damask in a pale, muted sage, softened by creamy grounds and delicate blush-beige accents. Its closely drawn medallions, scrolling foliage and fine horizontal detail create a softly aged, decorative surface.

About this fabric

This GP & J Baker textile is made from 82% viscose and 18% linen, with a 137 cm width. The pattern has a 67 cm vertical repeat and a 34.25 cm horizontal repeat, giving the formal motifs a clear, measured rhythm across the cloth. In this colourway, cool sage-green detail is lightened by ivory and warm stone tones, while the low-contrast palette lets the layered damask texture read with gentle depth rather than strong contrast. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care instructions require professional dry cleaning and advise against washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the pale sage ground to bring a quieter, cooler note to a traditional sitting room, bedroom chair or upholstered bedhead. Pair it with chalky creams, weathered wood and muted blush or stone accents to draw out the colourway's softly faded warmth.

A softly faded sage damask with ornate traditional character, suitable for curtains, upholstery and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
