Palace Tapestry Royal Blue

Royal Court FabricBP11103.2

Palace Tapestry Royal Blue is a richly illustrated woven textile with a cool, muted blue ground and densely layered scenic detail. Sandy beige, ivory, peach and olive accents soften the blue, giving the colourway a timeworn, painterly depth.

About this fabric

The design is arranged in horizontal tapestry-like bands, with foliage, floral clusters and small scenic motifs picked out across the surface. Its blue is less bright than a pure royal blue, reading as a dusty slate-royal shade that allows the warm sand and blush notes to show clearly. Made from 82% viscose and 18% linen, the 137 cm-wide fabric has a substantial decorative presence suited to curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The vertical pattern repeat is 71 cm and the horizontal repeat is 68.5 cm, so pattern placement should be considered carefully on larger pieces.

How to use it

Use this cool blue colourway on a statement armchair, upholstered headboard or full-length curtains, pairing it with warm oatmeal, aged ivory and pale timber to draw out the woven sand and peach tones. Its formal scenic character also suits a layered, traditional bedroom or sitting room scheme.

A richly detailed tapestry weave that brings muted blue depth and painterly character to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
