Tetbury Stripe Indigo

House Small Prints II FabricBP11107.1

Tetbury Stripe Indigo pairs a cool, muted indigo with a warm cream ground in tightly spaced, gently wavering vertical bands. Each stripe is built from small scalloped, leaf-like marks that give the surface a delicate rhythmic texture.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton and supplied at 137 cm wide, this fabric shows a fine, orderly pattern rather than a bold oversized motif. The indigo reads softly blue-grey against the cream background, creating a calm contrast with more depth than a flat navy stripe. Its vertical repeat is 15 cm and its horizontal repeat is 19.5 cm, allowing the small-scale bands to remain consistent across a project. The stated uses include curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; professional dry cleaning is required, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the cool indigo-and-cream colourway for relaxed tailored curtains or a neat upholstered chair, where the narrow wavering stripes can add vertical movement without dominating the room. It also lends itself to a coordinated bedspread with cream, pale blue or natural timber surroundings.

A cool cream-and-indigo stripe for tailored curtains, upholstered seating and coordinated bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
