Tetbury Stripe Ochre

House Small Prints II FabricBP11107.4

Tetbury Stripe Ochre brings closely spaced, warm ochre stripe columns to an ivory ground. Each stripe has a delicate, fern-like rhythm that gives the small-scale pattern more movement than a plain stripe.

About this fabric

Made from 100% cotton, this 137 cm wide fabric shows repeated ochre lines formed from tiny, softly irregular leaf or feather-like marks. The warm yellow-brown tone is muted rather than bright, sitting clearly against the light ivory background while retaining a gentle, sunlit character. Its vertical pattern repeat is 15 cm and its horizontal repeat is 19.5 cm, making the design relatively easy to position across wider surfaces. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; professional dry cleaning is required, and it must not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use the warm ochre as a connecting accent on an ivory armchair, headboard or bedspread, or let the narrow vertical rhythm add height to full-length curtains. Pair it with natural timber, warm neutrals and softly aged brass to reinforce its mellow golden tone.

A warm, fine-scale stripe for relaxed upholstery, curtains and coordinated bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
