Arundel Check Ochre
Essential Colour III - Colour FabricBF11180.5
Arundel Check Ochre is a densely woven micro-check with a warm, earthy character. The swatch combines ochre and tan threads with fine darker brown checks, creating a softly varied surface rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric
Made from 55% viscose, 25% polyester and 20% linen, this 135 cm wide fabric has a 3 cm vertical repeat and a 3.5 cm horizontal repeat. Its tiny check is tightly spaced across the surface, giving the cloth a neat, tailored appearance while the mixed threads add subtle texture and depth. The ochre ground reads warm and gently muted, with the brown elements sharpening the pattern without making it feel stark. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care requires professional dry cleaning and the fabric should not be washed, bleached or ironed.
How to use it
Pair the warm ochre and brown tones with natural timber, aged leather or cream upholstery for an inviting, collected scheme. The small-scale check is particularly effective on occasional chairs, relaxed upholstery and full-length curtains where its tonal variation can be seen at close range.
Use this warm micro-check to bring finely textured ochre depth to upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Arundel Check Ochre without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
