Penny Ochre

House Small Prints II FabricBP11109.4

Penny Ochre shows a finely drawn, repeating diamond lattice in warm ochre, with slightly deeper tan detail giving the small-scale pattern gentle definition. Its close, even weave keeps the colour calm and softly textured rather than bold.

About this fabric

Made from 100% cotton, this 137 cm wide fabric carries a small geometric repeat measuring 11 cm vertically by 14 cm horizontally. The ochre tone is warm and muted, sitting between golden yellow and natural tan, while the fine woven surface gives the swatch a neat, understated depth. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Care instructions are professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use Penny Ochre to warm a neutral room without introducing a strong contrast: it would suit relaxed curtains, a tailored chair or a coordinated bedspread. Pair the golden ochre lattice with chalky cream, natural linen and mid-toned timber to bring out its softly earthy character.

The warm ochre ground and fine diamond lattice bring a quietly tailored character to curtains, upholstery and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
