Penny Blue

House Small Prints II FabricBP11109.1

Penny Blue is a cool, pale blue-grey cotton with a tiny geometric pattern that reads as a fine, softly textured lattice across the swatch. Its restrained colour gives the close repeat a light, airy quality rather than a strong graphic contrast.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% cotton, Penny Blue has a fine, even surface and a small repeating geometric motif in softly contrasting blue-grey and pale neutral tones. The pattern measures 11 cm vertically by 14 cm horizontally, giving the design a consistent rhythm without overwhelming the cloth. At 137 cm wide, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. This fabric must not be washed, bleached or ironed, and requires professional dry cleaning.

How to use it

Use Penny Blue to bring a cool, settled note to a bedroom or sitting room, particularly on relaxed upholstery, gathered curtains or a bedspread. Pair its pale blue-grey tone with chalky whites, soft taupes and natural timber for a quietly composed scheme.

A cool, finely patterned cotton that brings quiet structure to curtains, upholstery and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
