About this fabric

The densely arranged pattern includes elephants, big cats, birds and curling botanical forms, giving the design a storybook character while the indigo ground keeps the overall impression composed rather than bright. Its lightly textured woven appearance softens the contrast between the cool blue base and the rust, ochre, coral and ivory motifs. Made from 80% cotton and 20% hemp, the 137 cm-wide fabric has an 81 cm vertical pattern repeat and a 68.5 cm horizontal repeat. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care instructions specify professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the cool indigo ground as the anchoring colour in a study, bedroom or sitting room, pairing it with warm ochre, rust or natural linen so the animal motifs feel collected rather than overly playful. The 81 cm vertical repeat is well suited to generous curtains, headboards and upholstered pieces where the illustrated scene can be properly appreciated.
