Noah's Ark Plaster

G P & J Baker X Kit Kemp II FabricBP11133.1

Noah’s Ark Plaster combines a softly muted plaster-pink ground with an illustrated procession of animals, foliage and small botanical details. Coral, olive, cream and earthy brown accents give the repeat a gentle, storybook character without making the colourway feel overly bright.

About this fabric

Woven in 80% cotton and 20% hemp, this 137 cm-wide fabric has a richly populated repeat featuring animals in coral, olive, cream and brown against the warm pink ground. The 81 cm vertical repeat and 68.5 cm horizontal repeat allow the illustrated design to read clearly across larger upholstered panels as well as curtains. Its usage is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The fabric must not be washed, bleached or ironed, and should be professionally dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use the plaster-pink ground to soften a reading chair, headboard or relaxed curtain scheme, then pick up the coral and olive figures with plain cushions or painted furniture. Its warm, dusty tone works particularly well with natural timber, aged cream and muted green.

A warm plaster-pink animal repeat that brings playful colour to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Noah's Ark Plaster without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
