Flower Patch Blue

Flower Patch Blue is a delicate all-over floral printed in a cool, pale blue ground with softly contrasting blush-coral and muted green-grey details. Its fine, closely spaced pattern creates a quietly detailed surface without feeling visually heavy.

About this fabric

Made from 100% cotton and supplied at 137 cm (53.82") wide, this fabric carries a small repeat measuring 14 cm (5.5") vertically by 13.5 cm (5.3") horizontally. The tiny scrolling floral motifs read in powder blue, warm blush and subdued green-grey, with lighter ground showing between the clusters. Its balanced weight is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. After care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the cool blue ground with chalky whites, pale natural linens and weathered painted timber, bringing out the coral flecks with a muted rose cushion or trim. The compact repeat works particularly well on a relaxed armchair, Roman blind or upholstered headboard.

A softly coloured small-scale floral for curtains, upholstery and bedspreads in relaxed, layered schemes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Flower Patch Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
