Chimneys Blue

Royal Court FabricBP11093.2

Chimneys Blue has a soft, cool blue-grey ground with a closely spaced geometric pattern that reads as a delicate woven texture across the swatch. Its pale tone is softened by fine cream and grey detail rather than strong contrast.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, this 134 cm wide fabric combines small linked geometric motifs with a subtly textured, low-contrast surface. The blue-grey colourway has a calm, slightly weathered quality, with the pattern appearing lighter where the weave catches the light. Its 10 cm vertical and 19.5 cm horizontal pattern repeats keep the design detailed without becoming visually dominant. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care instructions require professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the cool blue-grey as a restrained upholstery or bedspread colour in rooms with pale stone, chalky white or other soft blue accents. As curtains, its small-scale pattern will add texture while keeping the overall window treatment light and composed.

A fine, quietly patterned cotton in a cool blue-grey tone for tailored curtains, upholstery and bedspreads.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chimneys Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
