Chimneys Old Red
Royal Court FabricBP11093.3
Chimneys Old Red has a gently faded red ground, softened towards dusty rose and terracotta in the light. Its surface is filled with a closely repeated pale geometric motif that gives the colourway quiet texture rather than bold contrast.

About this fabric
Woven in 100% cotton, this 134 cm (52.64") fabric has a fine, small-scale geometric repeat with a 10 cm (3.93") vertical repeat and 19.5 cm (7.66") horizontal repeat. The chalky pale pattern sits lightly over the old-red ground, creating a nuanced, slightly vintage appearance as the woven surface catches the light. Its supplied usage includes curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Care instructions are professional dry clean only; do not wash, bleach or iron.
How to use it
Use the muted old-red tone to bring gentle warmth to a traditional sitting room, upholstered headboard or relaxed bedroom scheme. The small pale repeat works particularly well on larger upholstered forms and full-length curtains without dominating the room.
A softly weathered old-red ground with a fine pale geometric weave, equally suited to curtains, upholstery and bedspreads.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chimneys Old Red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
