Melbourne Stripe Blue

Eldon FabricBP11076.2

Melbourne Stripe Blue combines cool powder-blue vertical bands with ivory, taupe and fine darker lines. The varied stripe widths give the design a softly irregular, woven character rather than a rigid ladder effect.

About this fabric

The colourway has a fresh, cool tone, with powder blue set against a warm ivory ground and narrow taupe-grey accents. Its closely spaced vertical stripes create gentle movement, while the subtle textile texture keeps the surface from appearing flat. Made from 82% viscose and 18% linen, the 137 cm wide fabric is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 20,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on seating as well as softer decorative applications.

How to use it

Use the cool blue and ivory palette to brighten a tailored armchair, headboard or full-length curtain, pairing it with warm wood and soft taupe upholstery for balance. The vertical direction also suits curtains and bedspreads where a little visual height is welcome.

Cool powder-blue stripes bring a fresh, tailored look to curtains, upholstery and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
