About this fabric

This Sanderson velvet has a usable width of 140 cm and a substantial 765 gsm weight, giving it the full-bodied look and handle expected of an upholstery fabric. The surface appears densely piled and gently mottled, with the emerald tone shifting between forest green and near-black in the shadows. With 48 threads per cm, the cloth looks tightly constructed and smooth rather than loosely open, which supports its rich, plush finish. There is no pattern repeat to interrupt the surface, so the colour and pile texture do all the visual work.

How to use it

Use this emerald velvet on a statement armchair, banquette, or tailored cushions where its darker green depth can sit against brass, walnut, or warm neutral walls. It also works well in a layered scheme with velvet, linen, or matte timber, letting the colour read as luxurious rather than bright.

Use to add a rich jewel-toned anchor to sofas, chairs, or padded headboards.
