About this fabric

This Sanderson velvet has a substantial handle, with a 140 cm usable width and a heavy 765 gsm weight that suits upholstery. The surface reads as a dark marine teal, blending blue and green notes with a muted, slightly inky finish. Its 48 threads per cm help create the dense, refined texture visible in the swatch, while the plain design and zero pattern repeat keep the look clean and uninterrupted. The pile has a gentle directional nap, so the colour shifts softly across the light and shadow.

How to use it

Use this colourway on an armchair, ottoman or banquette where the deep teal can anchor lighter linens, walnut and brushed brass. It also works well as a statement curtain in a darker room, where the velvet sheen will show off the marine tone.
