About this fabric

This Sanderson velvet has a distinctly tactile, finely ribbed surface that gives the plain colour subtle movement across the cloth. At 765 gsm with 48 threads per cm, it has the substantial handle expected of an upholstery velvet, while the 140 cm usable width makes it practical for larger furnishings. Porcelain is a fresh blue-grey tone with a lightly weathered feel, so it sits between powder blue and soft silver rather than reading as a bright pastel. With no visible pattern repeat, the focus stays on the velvet nap and the way the shade shifts softly in the light.

How to use it

Use this cool porcelain blue on an occasional chair, banquette or tailored sofa to bring clarity to a room without harshness. It pairs especially well with pale woods, chalky whites and deeper navy accents.
