About this fabric

This Sanderson velvet has a substantial 765 gsm weight, which supports its use for upholstery and gives the cloth a reassuringly full hand. The swatch shows a warm putty beige with a faint rosy warmth in the light, softened by the velvet pile so the colour reads matte and diffuse rather than bright. With a usable width of 140 cm, it suits larger seating pieces as well as coordinated cushions. The 48 threads per cm construction helps explain the tight, refined surface visible in the image, where the pile sits in fine, even horizontal lines.

How to use it

Use this putty tone to soften darker timber, bronze or black accents, or pair it with chalky whites and natural linens for a layered neutral scheme. It works especially well on sofas and headboards where the quiet colour can sit alongside richer textures.
