About this fabric

This Sanderson velvet has a dense, plush handle and a close pile that gives the colour real depth, shifting between cinnamon, rust and clay as the light moves across it. The 140 cm usable width makes it practical for larger upholstery projects, while the substantial 765 gsm weight confirms its hardwearing presence. With 48 threads per cm, the cloth reads tightly woven beneath the velvet pile, adding to the sense of body and structure. There is no repeat to consider here, so the focus stays on the plain, tonal surface and the way this warm shade feels grounded rather than bright.

How to use it

Use Rowanberry on an armchair, sofa or banquette to bring warmth without shouting. It works especially well with natural woods, aged brass and other muted autumnal colours.

Pair with oak, tan leather and muted clay tones for a rich, grounded scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
