About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Orwell Weaves collection is a substantial textile at 570 gsm, with a usable width of 136.5 cm and a standard length of 35 m. Its small pattern repeat of 2.9 cm vertical and 2.7 cm horizontal reads as a dense, rhythmic weave rather than a bold motif. In this colourway, the mix of warm sand, blush beige and muted terracotta creates a sun-baked neutral that feels gentle rather than bright. The surface has a dry, tightly patterned finish that suits hard-working seating beautifully.

How to use it

Use Linden Sandstone on sofas, easy chairs or banquettes where you want warmth and texture in a muted palette. It pairs naturally with oak, linen and weathered metal finishes, and its sandy terracotta cast adds softness to cooler rooms.

A warm, low-key neutral that adds texture without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
