Orwell Weaves FabricSAF0449-05

Orwell Forest is a finely striped woven fabric with a quiet moss-green character and a light, airy ground. The close vertical pinstripe gives it a crisp, tailored look without feeling harsh.

About this fabric

This colourway pairs a pale ivory base with tight green-grey pinstripes, creating a muted forest tone that feels cool rather than saturated. The weave reads neat and compact in the image, and the 83 threads per cm specification supports that refined, closely worked finish. At 316 gsm, it has enough body for upholstery while still feeling versatile across the scheme. The pattern repeat is a very small 1 cm horizontally with no vertical repeat, so the stripe stays disciplined and regular across larger pieces. Usable width is 141 cm, which is practical for covering seating or for a clean-lined blind or curtain treatment.

How to use it

Use Orwell Forest where you want colour that is present but not loud: a tailored armchair, ottoman, or bench in a room with pale woods and stone. The soft green stripe also works well with chalky neutrals, adding structure without overpowering the scheme.

A restrained green stripe that reads tailored and fresh on compact seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Orwell Forest without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
