About this fabric

This woven stripe from Sanderson’s Melford Weaves collection is a substantial fabric at 428 gsm, with a generous 144 cm usable width and a standard length of 40 m. The pattern has no vertical repeat and a 1.9 cm horizontal repeat, which keeps the stripe reading crisp and regular across the cloth. Visually, the colourway is a muted soft green with a cool, washed softness rather than a vivid herbal tone, so the narrow stripes feel calm and quietly decorative. The textured weave adds gentle depth, making the pale ground and slightly darker sage lines sit cleanly against one another.

How to use it

Use it on a tailored armchair, banquette or cushions where the fine stripe can bring order without feeling severe. Its light sage tone works especially well with painted wood, pale oak and linen neutrals.
