Woodland Plain Grey /Blue

Melford Weaves FabricSAF0154-07

Woodland Plain Grey / Blue has a calm, low-contrast look, with a soft grey ground cooled by a faint blue cast. The woven surface reads as a tight, textured plain rather than a flat solid.

About this fabric

Part of Sanderson’s Melford Weaves collection, this fabric is a substantial 484 gsm and has a usable width of 142 cm, making it well suited to upholstery projects. The weave is clearly visible in the swatch, with small, regular threads that give the cloth a gently nubbly handle and a subtle heathered effect. Its grey-blue tone sits in the middle of the palette: cool, muted and slightly weathered, without looking stark or icy. With no pattern repeat, it is straightforward to cut and ideal when you want texture rather than motif.

How to use it

Use this grey-blue on sofas, armchairs or window seats where a restrained, architectural finish is needed. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky whites and deeper navy accents for a layered, coastal-leaning scheme.

A quietly textured neutral that softens larger furniture pieces and layers easily with timber and stone tones.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
