About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this Colefax and Fowler fabric has a natural dry handle that reads clearly in the image. The check is set at an approximate vertical repeat of 24cm and horizontal repeat of 17cm, with the intersecting lines forming a neat medium-scale grid. Its old blue base looks more blue-grey than bright blue, softened by muted taupe stripes and pale chalky crossings. At 140cm wide, it is a versatile cloth for curtains, loose covers or occasional upholstery where a relaxed, breathable look is wanted.

How to use it

Use it in rooms with painted woodwork, pale oak and woven textures, where the cool old-blue ground can settle against cream and stone. It works especially well on simple curtains or a slipper chair that benefits from a restrained, country-house check.
