About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Melford Weaves collection is a substantial textile, with a 144 cm usable width, 40 m standard length and a 428 gsm weight. The close 1.9 cm horizontal repeat and 0 cm vertical repeat create a regular stripe that feels neat rather than busy. Visually, the colourway combines pale aqua, warm blush, soft taupe and muted yellow against an off-white ground, giving the weave a washed, sunlit quality. With 104 threads per cm, the surface looks tightly constructed and crisp, making the stripe read cleanly across the fabric.

How to use it

Its pastel mix works well in calm country schemes, especially where the stripes can soften plain linens and painted joinery. Use it on occasional seating, blinds or full-length curtains to bring a light, tailored note without heavy contrast.

Use with pale timber and painted finishes for a fresh, softly traditional look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
