About this fabric

This fabric is from Sanderson’s Melford Weaves collection and has a usable width of 138.5 cm, a standard length of 40 m, a 270 gsm weight and 88 threads per cm. The weave reads as a small herringbone-like chevron, with a vertical repeat of 0 cm and a narrow 1.6 cm horizontal repeat. In this colourway, the blue is pale and airy rather than strong, with a slight green cast that keeps it feeling fresh and light. The textured weave catches the light subtly, so the surface looks quietly patterned rather than busy.

How to use it

Use Melford Wedgewood where you want a calm, cool accent that still feels tailored, such as an armchair, ottoman or padded headboard. It pairs especially well with chalk white, pale oak and other soft blue-greens.

A fresh woven blue that brings a neat, tailored feel to seats, cushions or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
