Orwell Weaves FabricSAF0443-06

Burnham Indigo shows a cool indigo ground broken by narrow, evenly spaced pale stripes, giving the swatch a clean, tailored look. The fine vertical rhythm reads sharp and orderly rather than busy.

About this fabric

This Sanderson Orwell Weaves fabric has a usable width of 143 cm and a substantial 454 gsm weight, which gives the cloth a firm, substantial handle suited to upholstery. The vertical stripe is created by a very tight weave with 59 threads per cm, and the horizontal repeat is just 0.8 cm, so the pattern stays neat and finely patterned across the surface. In this Burnham Indigo colourway, the blue appears deep and slightly muted, with the lighter lines lifting the overall effect and preventing the shade from feeling heavy. There are no performance features noted, so it is best considered for decorative interiors where the emphasis is on texture, structure and visual clarity.

How to use it

Use Burnham Indigo on an armchair, banquette or headboard where the narrow stripe can add crisp definition. Its cool, dark blue tone pairs especially well with pale wood, white paint and brushed metal finishes.

A crisp indigo pinstripe that works beautifully on tailored seating and polished accent pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
