Melford Midnight

Melford Weaves FabricSAF0338-29

Melford Midnight is a quietly tailored blue weave with a fine herringbone-like texture and a cool, dusky finish. The close pattern reads softly tonal rather than high-contrast, giving the cloth a disciplined, understated look.

About this fabric

Part of Sanderson’s Melford Weaves collection, this fabric has a usable width of 138.5 cm and is supplied in 40 m lengths, with a 270 gsm weight that gives it reassuring body. The weave shows a tight, small-scale chevron effect, with a 1.6 cm horizontal repeat and no vertical repeat, so the surface feels regular and composed. In this Melford Midnight colourway, the blue sits in a slate-to-midnight range, softened by a grey cast that keeps it restrained rather than яр?

How to use it

Use this deep blue-grey on upholstered chairs, banquettes or a favourite armchair where you want the pattern to read as texture. It pairs well with pale wood, warm brass and chalky neutrals, which lift the cool depth of the shade.

A cool slate-blue weave that brings a tailored, understated finish to seating and soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
