Melford Weaves FabricSAF0338-03
Melford Pebble shows a fine herringbone weave in a softly muted sage tone with a quiet, almost chalky finish. Its narrow vertical rhythm gives the surface a tailored, understated look.

About this fabric
This Sanderson fabric from the Melford Weaves collection is a substantial 270gsm textile with a usable width of 138.5cm, making it well suited to both upholstery and drapery. The weave reads as a small-scale herringbone, with a 1.6cm horizontal repeat and no vertical repeat, so the pattern feels steady and disciplined rather than decorative. In this Pebble colourway, the base shade sits between pale green and warm grey, with a gentle stone-like softness that catches the light without looking bright. The 88 threads per cm create a neat, refined surface that feels crisp and controlled rather than heavy or bulky.
How to use it
Use it to bring a cool, restful note to upholstered chairs, bench cushions, or Roman blinds. Its soft sage-grey cast pairs especially well with limewashed woods, pale oak, and natural linens.
A calm sage herringbone that works neatly on seating, cushions, and tailored curtains.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Melford Pebble without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
