About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Melford Weaves collection is a substantial 270gsm textile with a usable width of 138.5cm, making it well suited to both upholstery and drapery. The weave reads as a small-scale herringbone, with a 1.6cm horizontal repeat and no vertical repeat, so the pattern feels steady and disciplined rather than decorative. In this Pebble colourway, the base shade sits between pale green and warm grey, with a gentle stone-like softness that catches the light without looking bright. The 88 threads per cm create a neat, refined surface that feels crisp and controlled rather than heavy or bulky.

How to use it

Use it to bring a cool, restful note to upholstered chairs, bench cushions, or Roman blinds. Its soft sage-grey cast pairs especially well with limewashed woods, pale oak, and natural linens.

A calm sage herringbone that works neatly on seating, cushions, and tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
