Melford Weaves FabricSAF0338-23

Melford Mineral shows a finely woven herringbone with a calm, chalky sage tone and a softly speckled look. The effect is light and understated, with just enough structure to give the surface depth.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric has a usable width of 138.5 cm and comes in standard 40 m lengths, making it practical for both larger upholstery runs and window projects. At 270 gsm, it feels like a substantial mid-weight cloth, and the 88 threads per cm help create the tight, refined weave visible in the image. The pattern repeat is 0 cm vertically and 1.6 cm horizontally, so the herringbone reads as a steady, rhythmic texture rather than a bold motif. In this colourway, the pale mineral sage appears cool and muted, with a soft woven contrast that lifts the surface without making it feel busy.

How to use it

Use this gentle sage alongside limewash, pale oak and brushed brass for a quiet, layered room. It is especially effective where you want texture and tone rather than strong pattern.

A quietly textural sage that works across upholstery and drapery alike.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
