Cheslyn Olive/Cream

Orwell Weaves FabricSAF0054-01

Cheslyn Olive/Cream pairs a softly weathered cream ground with a fine olive geometric weave that reads crisp and lightly rustic in the light. The small woven motif gives the design a steady, textural rhythm rather than a bold print effect.

About this fabric

This fabric has a clearly substantial handle at 414 gsm, which supports its use on seating where the raised weave and neat pattern need to hold their shape. The design shows an olive lattice and diamond motif crossing a warm cream background, with the weave structure left visible for a tactile, homespun feel. At 140 cm usable width and with 56 threads per cm, it presents a tight, detailed surface that feels refined rather than coarse. The 8.5 cm vertical repeat and 24 cm horizontal repeat create a measured geometric pattern that sits comfortably across cushions, chairs and other upholstery pieces.

How to use it

The muted olive on cream is ideal for adding pattern without darkening a room, especially on a slipper chair, ottoman or bench. It works particularly well with pale timber, linen and aged brass, where the fresh green tone can lift the scheme.

Use on an armchair or occasional seating to bring a fresh, lightly rustic pattern into the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
