Melford Sage

Melford Weaves FabricSAF0338-17

Melford Sage is a softly brushed-looking sage weave with a subtle herringbone-style texture running vertically across the surface. The colour sits in a gentle, muted green palette that feels fresh without reading bright.

About this fabric

This woven fabric has a calm, structured surface with a fine chevron effect created by the 1.6 cm horizontal repeat and a reassuringly dense handle at 270 gsm. The 138.5 cm usable width gives it practical scale for upholstery projects, while the 88 threads per cm suggest a tight, well-defined weave. In this colourway, the sage tone is pale and lightly greyed, so the pattern reads more as texture than contrast. The overall effect is cool, understated and easy to live with, rather than vivid or highly decorative.

How to use it

Use Melford Sage on an upholstered armchair, ottoman or dining seat where the soft green can temper timber and stone. It also works well with warm white paint, oak and linen for a quiet, layered room.

A calm sage weave that suits tailored seating and quiet layered interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
