Melford Sky

Melford Weaves FabricSAF0338-26

Melford Sky is a light, airy blue weave with a fine chevron-like texture that gives the surface a soft sense of movement. The colour sits between pale duck egg and sky blue, with a quietly washed finish that feels fresh rather than icy.

About this fabric

This Sanderson Melford Weaves fabric has a usable width of 138.5 cm and a substantial 270gsm weight, making it a versatile mid-weight cloth for either upholstery or drapery. The weave reads as a tight, small-scale pattern with a 1.6 cm horizontal repeat and no vertical repeat, creating a subtle rhythm rather than an obvious motif. In Melford Sky, the pale blue ground is lifted by slightly lighter and cooler threads, so the surface feels calm, crisp and softly textural. The overall effect is breezy and understated, with enough body to tailor neatly and enough softness to sit comfortably in a layered interior.

How to use it

Use Melford Sky on a compact chair, Roman blind or scatter cushions where its pale blue tone can brighten a room without feeling stark. It pairs especially well with chalk white, washed oak and deeper navy accents.

A gentle sky-toned weave that works beautifully across cushions, curtains and smart casual upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
