Lymington Damask Mid Blue

Lymington Damasks and Stripes FabricSAF0010-12

Lymington Damask Mid Blue shows a classic damask pattern in a softened, cool blue that reads calm rather than bright. The motif sits quietly across the surface, with the floral detail only just lifting from the ground in the light.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric has a useable width of 142 cm and a substantial 340 gsm weight, making it suitable for both upholstery and drapery use. The damask pattern repeats every 42 cm vertically and 36 cm horizontally, and the medium-scale layout gives the design a steady, balanced rhythm. In this colourway, the blue is muted and powdery, with a slightly smoky cast that softens the contrast between ground and motif. The finely woven surface, noted at 230 threads per cm, helps the pattern look crisp without feeling heavy or glossy.

How to use it

Use this mid blue where you want pattern without drama: it works well on a tailored armchair, upholstered headboard, or full-length curtains. Pair it with pale oak, chalk white and a touch of navy for a layered, restrained scheme.

A cool, tailored blue that brings calm symmetry to upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
