Lymington Damask Ecru

Lymington Damasks and Stripes FabricSAF0010-01

Lymington Damask Ecru shows a pale, creamy ground with the damask motif just visible in the surface light. The pattern reads softly rather than high-contrast, giving it an understated, tonal presence.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric is a substantial 340 gsm textile with a usable width of 142 cm and a pattern repeat of 42 cm vertically by 36 cm horizontally. In this ecru colourway, the damask design sits tone-on-tone across the cloth, so the scrolls and floral forms appear as a gentle sheen rather than a bold print. The result is warm and luminous, with a soft ivory cast that feels calmer than white and less yellow than a true cream. Its tightly woven 230 threads per cm give the surface a refined, polished look that suits both structured upholstery and elegant drapery.

How to use it

Use it on a large sofa, armchair or curtains where the pale ecru ground can lift a room without overpowering other finishes. It works especially well with oak, painted timber and layered neutrals, where the faint damask detail adds depth in natural light.

A quietly elegant ecru damask that softens classic rooms without feeling stark.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
