About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric is a substantial 340gsm cloth with a usable width of 142 cm, making it well suited to upholstery projects that need body as well as pattern. The damask design repeats at 42 cm vertically and 36 cm horizontally, creating a balanced grid of classic ornament across the cloth. In this indigo colourway, the pattern reads tonally rather than brightly, with the damask leafwork appearing slightly darker against the navy-blue ground. A threads-per-cm count of 230 suggests a closely woven surface, which matches the refined, dense look visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use this indigo damask on a formal armchair, ottoman, or pared-back sofa where the pattern can read as a deep tonal layer. It also works well with walnut timber, brushed brass, and soft ivory accents for a room with a traditional but disciplined feel.

A rich, low-sheen damask that brings depth and classic elegance to tailored interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
