Lymington Damask Cream

Lymington Damasks and Stripes FabricSAF0010-02

Lymington Damask Cream shows a subtle damask pattern in a soft ivory cream ground, with the motif only just lifting in the light. The result is a refined, tonal look rather than a high-contrast one.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric has a substantial 340 gsm handle and a dense 230 threads per cm specification, which helps explain its crisp, defined surface. The 142 cm usable width and 42 cm vertical by 36 cm horizontal repeat make it practical for tailored upholstery pieces as well as coordinated soft furnishings. In this colourway, the damask reads as a warm, pale cream with an almost parchment-like softness, while the pattern sits quietly within the cloth instead of standing out boldly. The finish feels formal but restrained, with just enough sheen in the weave to catch the light across the repeated medallions and scrolling leaves.

How to use it

Use it on a shaped chair, banquette or cushions where the faint damask can be appreciated up close. It pairs particularly well with biscuit, oak and mellow painted trims for a calm, classical room.

A quietly elegant cream damask that layers easily with warm woods and pale neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
