Lymington Damask Pale Linen reads as a softly illuminated cream, with the woven damask motif sitting just a shade lighter than the ground.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric has a substantial 340gsm handle, giving the pale linen colourway a poised, upholstered feel rather than a sheer drape. The damask pattern is worked in an understated tonal contrast, so the scroll and medallion forms appear gently embossed rather than sharply outlined. With a usable width of 142 cm and repeats of 42 cm vertically and 36 cm horizontally, it is scaled for a balanced, classical interior application. The thread count of 230 helps explain the fabric’s refined surface and the way the motif reads softly in the light.

How to use it

Use this pale linen damask on a tailored armchair, occasional sofa or formal curtains where a warm, quiet neutral is needed. It pairs especially well with chalk paint, pale timber and brass accents.

A quiet linen-toned damask that layers easily with oak, walnut and soft metallics.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
